Over the past few months, the Motorola Edge+ (2024) has been my daily driver, quietly proving itself as a reliable and well-rounded flagship smartphone. While it may not dominate headlines like some of its competitors, it offers a balanced experience that grows more impressive with time. Here’s how it holds up after extended use.
Design & Comfort: Subtle Elegance
The Edge+ (2024) carries a refined design with a vegan leather back (on some variants) and a slim profile. It feels premium without being overly flashy, and the curved edges make one-handed use comfortable. Over time, the materials have held up well—no noticeable scratches or wear, even without a case. The IP68 rating provides peace of mind against accidental spills or rain.
Display: Smooth & Vibrant
The 6.7-inch pOLED display remains one of the phone’s strongest features. With a 165Hz refresh rate, scrolling and animations are buttery smooth, and the FHD+ resolution keeps everything sharp. Brightness is excellent outdoors, and the colors stay vibrant without oversaturation. Watching videos or reading for long periods hasn’t caused eye strain, thanks to the natural color tuning.

Motorola’s near-stock Android 14 experience remains a highlight. The 50MP main sensor takes crisp, well-balanced photos in daylight, and the OIS helps with stability. Low-light performance is decent but not class-leading—Google and Samsung still do better here. The 13MP ultrawide is useful, though it struggles slightly with distortion at the edges. The 60MP selfie camera is surprisingly good for video calls and social media shots.
